Students must be 2 by December 1st, up to age 5.

The character values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility are at the heart of everything we do. At our Preschool, children are inspired to develop an excitement and joy for learning. Caring, qualified teachers offer a theme based, developmental curriculum that enhances a child’s total development and nurtures their potential.

In the classroom, children engage in activities that develop their fine and gross motor skills as well as strengthen their self-esteem, communication, reading, science, math and literacy skills.

Students in Saratoga’s 3 and 4 year olds classes swim weekly while the Wilton students enjoy a weekly tumbling class. Spanish lessons are also a part of class for these 3 and 4 year old students.

Children at our unique intergenerational program held at the Wesley Health Care Center learn while they interact with the residents as part of their preschool activities. An exciting Kid’s Fit program, as well as a monthly swim class and Spanish lessons enhances the Wesley Preschool.

There will be an Open House at Saratoga Springs Branch on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.  And you are always welcome to come by for a tour.

Memberships

Each student must be a Youth, Family, or Program Member:

Youth Membership: $14/month
Family Membership: $71/month
(Either of these memberships allows your child to also participate in other YMCA programs free, or at a lower member rate.)

Program Membership: $100/year
(This membership allows your child to participate in other YMCA programs at the higher program member rate.)

Additional Activities
Swim lessons are included for 3 and 4 year olds at the Saratoga Springs Branch. Tumbling lessons are included for 3 and 4 year olds at our Wilton Branch. Kids’ Fit Program is included for 3 and 4 year olds at Wesley.

Payment

Tuition is payable in 10 monthly installments through automatic draft of a checking or savings account or credit card.  The first installment of ten percent (10% - non-refundable) is required to register. The remaining installments will start in August 2011 and run through April 2012. Or, you may elect to pay the full annual fee at registration.

In addition to tuition fees shown in this brochure, each student must be a paid Youth Member, Family Member or a Program Member.

PreschoolPLUS

This 12 week program offers math and language arts enrichment for 3 and 4 year olds. The emphasis is on strengthening children’s reading, writing and math skills as they get ready for kindergarten. • Saratoga Springs Branch

Project Play
Leave your children with us for an exciting morning of play, crafts, and playground fun. Children ages 3 to 8 will be safe and happy with us while you enjoy the time outside of the YMCA. All fees are due at registration.

Early Childhood Summer Enrichment
Enrich your child’s summer with this exciting early childhood program. Children who will turn 3 by July 1, 2012; 4 and 5 year olds will engage in activities that strengthen their readiness skills as they engage in a morning of fun.

Each day includes theme-based crafts and activities and outside play as much as possible. The children swim for thirty minutes once a week. Snack is provided. A 1:7 ratio ensures a safe, fun-filled quality experience for your young child. Classes meet Tuesday through Thursday each week. Sign up for one week or any combination of weeks. All fees are due at registration.

Theater Workshop
Children ages 4-6 will have fun learning the basics of putting on a show! Each child will learn a familiar story, design scenery, create costumes and act out characters. Plan to come on Friday at 11:30 am to see the show.

The Theater Workshop meets Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 am-12:00 pm. Bring a plain white tee shirt to decorate for a costume. Snack will be provided. Register for one week or any combination of weeks. All fees are due at registration.
