Battenkill Branch

FitKidz (5-6 years)
A fun-filled fitness program geared towards 5-6 year olds that want to be fit, learn and have fun doing it. These classes combine beginner
fitness and healthy lifestyle tips to jump-start youths into making better choices in the way of fitness and food. Requires pre-registration
but is free to members.

Days/Times: Monday at 4:00-4:45 pm

Class size: 5 min./12 max.

FitKidz (7-8 years)
A fun-filled fitness program geared towards 7-8 year olds that want to be fit, learn and have fun doing it. These classes combine beginner
fitness and healthy lifestyle tips to jump-start youths into making better choices in the way of fitness and food. Requires pre-registration

Kidz HipHop (5-8 years)
Kids will learn fun dance routines to popular hiphop music and end the session with a performance for family and friends! Requires pre-registration but is free to members.

Days/Times: Tuesday at 4:45-5:30 pm

Class size: 5 min./12 max.

Roc-n-Tots (18 months-3 years)
Offers an introduction to movement and music for growing minds and bodies for ages 18 months through 3 years. A fun mix of circle songs, free dance, marching and imagination which your child will talk about all week!

Sessions: Fall I-II
18-24 months: Wednesday at 12:00 - 12:30 p.m.
2 to 3 years olds: Wednesday at 12:30 - 1:00 p.m.
Class size: 5 min./max. 12
Member: $22.50/session.
Program member: $45/session.

KidzPlay (7-11 years)
Free time for kidz to use the Trazer & wiiFit.
FREE for members and $2.50 for program members.

Youth Sports Conditioning (YSC)
(13-18 years)

The goal of this class is to introduce young athletes to various aspects of strength and conditioning. This class will cover injury prevention and knee stability exercises, speed and agility work, plyometrics and properly teach and promote safe lifting techniques for young athletes.

Sessions: Fall I-II
Days/Time:
Tuesday and Thursday at 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Class size: 5 min./12 max.

Program member: $70/session

This program is also available at the Saratoga Springs Branch (Gym) for 9-14 year olds.

Youth for Fitness Certification Course
This two session certification course will allow youth ages 10 through 13 to use the fitness area. The course will cover gym etiquette, nutritional guidelines, basic anatomy and physiology,
and strength and endurance training. Upon completion, members will receive a wristband to be worn when using the fitness area. The ages and times for utilizing the fitness area vary at each of the branches. Please call to schedule an appointment or confirm availability.

Corinth Branch

Karate Kids and Goju Ryu Karate
Our certified NiDan Goju Karate instructor has designed a Goju Ryu Karate Program for children and adults of all ability levels, interests and ages. Participants earn rank of stripes and belts with attendance, tests and participation. Karate is a registration only program. Karate is taught in a continuous 7 week session and training may begin at anytime. See instructor for purchase of
uniform. This program is held at the Corinth Branch only.

Days/Times:
Karate Kids-7 to 10 years old
(with no martial arts background)
Saturdays from 10:00-11:00 am

Goju Ryu Karate-8 years and older
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:00-7:30

Fees:
Karate Kids-Full member: $25 for all 7-wks
Goju Ryu Karate-Full member: $36 for all 7-wks

Teen Fit
The Teen Fit program helps students gain an interest in exercise and nutrition by providing a fun teen-oriented program at the Corinth Branch. Activity and exercise are vital ingredients towards
a long and healthy lifestyle for young people. This is a voluntary after school program that offers a variety of activities such as: walking, weight lifting, aerobic classes, intro to cardio equipment,
and much more! In addition, homework help is provided, interaction with positive role models, and a support network for growth and
development. The mission of this program is to empower, encourage and strengthen “at risk” teens in mind, body and spirit to help them
make positive and healthy decisions. This program is sponsored by the Saratoga Youth Bureau and there is no fee for participation.

Kids Fitness

A fun-filled, drop-in fitness program geared towards 5 to 10 year olds that want to learn to be fit and have fun doing it. The class combines beginner fitness and healthy lifestyle tips to jump start youths into making better choices in the way of fitness and food. Each week provides a new experience. The participating youth will gain knowledge to better themselves in today’s world.

This two session certification course will allow youth ages 10 through 13 to use the fitness area. The course will cover gym etiquette, nutritional guidelines, basic anatomy and physiology,
and strength and endurance training. Upon completion, members will receive a certificate and wristband to be worn when using the fitness area. The ages and times for utilizing the fitness
area vary at each of the branches.

Saratoga Springs Branch

FitKidz

HipHop Kidz
Kidz will learn fun dance routines to popular hiphop music! There is a class for 6 to 9 year olds and one for 10 to 13 year olds.

YogaKidz
Yoga at an early age encourages self-esteem and body awareness with a physical activity that is noncompetitive. Yoga fosters cooperation and compassion. This class is for 5 to 12 year olds.

Wilton Branch

Youth Fitness Certification Course

and strength and endurance training. Upon completion, members will receive a certificate and wristband to be worn when using the
fitness area. The ages and times for utilizing the fitness area vary at the individual branches. Please contact the Wellness Desk to
schedule an appointment.

Teen Lifting Program
Do you have a son or daughter that wants to learn more about resistance training? Participants will receive instruction on basic free weight movements, sound nutrition, and fitness etiquette. This class is for 14 years and older and registration is required.

Session: 7 weeks
Days/Times: Monday and Wednesday at 3:30-5:00 pm
Class size: 6 max.
Fees: No charge for members.
