Annual Scholarship Campaign

Thank you to those who have donated to our Annual Scholarship Campaign, We Build People!

What is the We Build People Campaign?
Our annual scholarship campaign is the major fundraising campaign of the YMCA. Funds raised help those who need it most by providing financial assistance to youth, teens, families and other individuals and ensures that no one is denied the opportunity to share in the YMCA experience due to the inability to pay.

Scholarships are available for people who require it, whether in direct aid or reduced
program fees. No one is turned away from the YMCA for lack of ability to pay.

“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.”

— John Andrew Holmes

In 2010, we gave out over $863,368 in scholarships and naval subsidies. This program provided over 900 scholarships.

Your tax-deductible contribution to the YMCA Annual Scholarship Campaign is a great investment in your community because it helps those who need it most--potientially your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers.
