Scholarship Program

The Saratoga Regional YMCA is committed to making sure no one is denied access to membership, services and/or programming due to their inability to pay.

The Saratoga Regional YMCA raises funds through its Annual Support Campaign, We Build People, to help provide revenue for our scholarhship program. Proceeds from the 2009 We Build People Annual Support Campaign allowed the Saratoga Regional YMCA to grant over 900 scholarships to children, adults and families who otherwise could not afford to share in the YMCA experience. In addition to our fundraising activities, grant writing efforts help to create enough resources to meet the needs of a large number of individuals, children and families in our community.

The amount of assistance is based on the pool of resources that is contributed by individuals, families, organizations and businesses within our community and grants that are awarded by governmental agencies. Financial assistance can only be granted to the extent that it can be funded. All assistance is available based on demonstrated need without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, or physical or mental handicap.

Assistance is awarded on a sliding fee scale and can be applied to a portion of the cost of the program. Financial assistance determinations are based on household gross income and household size. Extenuating circumstances may be considered. For more information, contact Patti Laundicina at 583-9622, ext. 110.
