This 12 week program offers math and language arts enrichment for 3 and 4 year olds. The emphasis is on strengthening your child’s reading, writing and math skills as they get ready

Early Childhood Summer Enrichment Program
This exciting early childhood program is for children who will turn 3 by July 1, 2010, 4 and 5 years olds. The Early Childhood Summer Enrichment Program meets Tuesday
through Thursday at the Saratoga Springs Branch. The program begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at noon.


The children swim for thirty minutes once a week. Each day includes theme-based crafts and activities. Snack is provided each day. The program meets outside as much as possible.
Register for one week or any combination of weeks. Trained and experienced preschool teachers supervise the children.


A 1:7 ratio ensures attention and a safe, fun filled, quality experience for your young child. All fees are due at registration.

YMCA Theatre Workshop
Participants will have fun learning the basics of putting on a show! Children ages 4 to 6 will learn a familiar story, design scenery, create costumes and act out characters. Each Friday there will be a family performance. Plan to come to the last half hour of class to see the show.


The Theater Workshop meets Tuesday through Friday at the Saratoga Springs Branch. Children attend from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Bring a plain white t-shirt to decorate for a costume.  A healthy snack will be provided. Register for one week or
any combination of weeks. All fees are due at registration.

Babysitting Certification Course

YMCA of Saratoga is offering this American Red Cross certified course. It is open to youth ages 11 to 15 and includes all materials and their certification. Participants are encouraged to volunteer for 6 hours in the Babysitting Rooms at the Saratoga Springs or Wilton Branches. Be sure to bring a lunch. Class size is limited to 10. Healthy Kids Night

The YMCA of Saratoga Leaders Club is a wonderful way for youth ages 12-17 to develop leadership skills and to have a great time with other teens in the community. As a member of YMCA Adventure Guides, you will have the opportunity to develop a stronger relationship with your child by joining a unique “circle”. Throughout this journey, the Adventure Guides compass points are family, nature, community, fun, and the YMCA character development values which provide a sense of direction and inspiration for the activities. Parents' Night Out

Parents’ Night Out is an opportunity for parents to have a night out! Bring back date night, ladies or guys night out, or movie night. Every Parents’ Night Out event will have a theme and children can enjoy activities related to the theme through games, crafts or a movie. Parents’ Night Out is for children ages 8 weeks to 9 years old. You must reserve a spot(s) prior to the night of the event. Spaces are limited. Sunday Shoppers
Are your children bored with shopping? We have our Sunday Shoppers for children to come to the YMCA’s Saratoga Springs Branch from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. while mom and dad run errands, do their weekly grocery shopping or visit the shops downtown. We will have planned activities for the children (between the ages of 8 weeks and 9 years old). We will play outside, do a craft, watch a movie and provide a snack. Twinkle Toes Ballet
This is a co-ed program for 4 to 6 year olds. This program is designed to develop coordination, to increase spatial and rhythmic awareness and to provide a positive learning experience. Dance is presented in an imaginative and age- appropriate manner. By the completion of this class, children will have been introduced to ballet steps, terminology and the basics of dance. This is a new extension offered for the kids who are moving up in their skills. Focus will be on positions, terminology and incorporation of dance movements with a small “recital” at the end of the session. The kids will be grouped according to ability. Twinkle Toes Ballet (Summer Program)
Dance classes at the Saratoga Springs Branch are taught by dance students from Skidmore College.


Children will get 1 hour of dance instruction and then 45 minutes of swim time and a snack.


Group I - Creative Movement/Pre-Ballet for ages 4 to 6 will leap, skip, sing and jump into our creative movement class. Dancers will participate in an adventure filled with music, movement and fun. This program is ideal for the preschool age student and will also explore the basics of ballet technique.

Group II - Ballet I for ages 6 through 9 and is a stepping stone between the child’s fantasy world and the structured ballet class. Dancers will develop coordination, balance and musical awareness, as well as learn the fundamentals of ballet technique.

Micro-Soccer
Co-ed program for youth ages 3 to 6. There are no try-outs, emphasis is on participation NOT winning, and fundamentals are stressed. They will be divided into four teams and the first half hour will be “practice”. Teams will have drills, team cooperation plays, and learn basic skills of the game. Girls on the Run
Girls on the Run, a 10-week program that ends with a 5K Run/Walk, uses fitness and fun to learn about self-esteem, values, being respectful to ourselves and our communities, making difficult decisions and being true to who we are. We are looking for 4th, 5th and 6th grade girls who believe girls are smart, powerful, strong, fun, cool and would like to celebrate that fact with other girls who feel the same way. Teen Fit
The Teen Fit program helps students gain an interest in exercise and nutrition by providing a fun teen-oriented program at the Corinth YMCA Branch site. Activity and exercise are vital
ingredients towards a long and healthy lifestyle for our young people. This is a voluntary after school program that includes a variety of fitness activities including: walking, weight lifting,
aerobic classes, importance of proper warm-up and cool down, intro to cardio equipment, record keeping for workout, and cardio room etiquette. In addition, homework help is provided, along with emotional support, interaction with positive
role models, and a support network for growth and development.  The mission of this program is to empower, encourage and strengthen “at risk” teens in mind, body and spirit to make smart choices that will lead them to make positive
and healthy decisions. This program is a county sponsored program by the Saratoga Youth Bureau.

This two session certification course will allow youth ages 10 through 13 to use the fitness area.
